Vegas (part 2)

Thursday afternoon, went to the other Rock Cafe, which is located adjacent to the Hard Rock Casino.

KISS display

From Thursday through to Sunday, the Rio (where we are staying) presents a "Mardi Gra" show of sorts, called "Show in the Sky" in one part of the Casino called the Masquerade Village. They have these huge rails on the roof, and various floats that do laps around on the ceiling with dancers throwing out beads. The things seems to be to collect these beads (necklaces).

There is also a main stage there, where they have a group of show girls  (and unfortunately blokes) dancing and singing, The girls are brilliant, the blokes not so much.

Is hard to get decent shots at night of moving objects at a distance with the "point and shoot", but gave it a go.. the pictures really don't give the display any justice.

And she could sing

The other show that was on were these 2 dude bartenders juggling and doing all sorts of tricks with bar equipment. I took more video that pics of this, it was absolutely awesome

The girls that scream the loudest get free shots poured into their mouths

Friday during the day, I thought I'd just do a huge walk down the strip, and explore some of the other Casinos, and just see whats going on in the street. Luckily, it doesn't shut down here on Good Friday (or I would have wanted a refund! :-))

I had been through most of the places before, but that was back 2005!

Gene's Axe Bass

The Easter Bunny is real! Once more there are 2 of them. Really wanted to get a pic them them, but so did everyone else :-(
 It is Good Friday
Gene and Batman!

Hooters Casino was actually a bit drab. Very nice Hooters girl at the entrance, but after that it was smallish, and just drab.. I wouldn't stay there.

Two Micheal Jacksons? There were plenty around

A very popular pair of Angels!

Not the Easter bunny, but there was a photo op as I entered the Excalibur (which was where I stayed the last time I was here). The red head girl on the right was very charismatic and funny .

Dumb expression! Was actually happier than I look - haha
Friday night, we headed into down town. It was buzzing, various bands playing, lots of street bars, dancing girls, impersonators, and the large Fremont street overhead LED screen. Saw it last time here, but still awesome.

When she wasn't serving the drinks at the bar, they would jump up on the bar (that's the bar that sold the drink  I have in a later pic below)
The band below were brilliant!, all the rock classics, and brilliant players.. and Fabio!?...
Guitarist was brilliant, and had such as great sound.

OMG it's Fabio out front (either that or David Lee Roth). He had eye liner on as well

Fremont street experience. Biggest screen in the world

Saw heaps of people with these, so I had to have one!

When Gary saw Spock, he got excited like a small child. So we both had to get pics with him!

He really looked exactly like Spock! Wanted to ask where was 7 of 9 (but that was a different series)
